Planned Parenthood
Concealed Weapons of Mass Destruction at the U.N.
juda myers March 15, 2010
Seems like Planned Parenthood wants to keep their destructive ways secret. On March 11, 2010 while I was at the United Nations Conference on the Status of Women there was a meeting for young girls that adults were not allowed to attend. I knew this couldn't be anything good. While I hadt met only four pro abortionists I was obviously on the other side of the building from them. The World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides hosted a no-adults-welcome panel at the U.N.where Planned Parenthood was allowed to distribute a brochure entitled "Healthy, Happy and Hot". Why would this organization want to distribute information like that to girls who are the most vulnerable to becoming pregnant from peer pressure and social moral degradation? Well the answer is an easy one. The more girls get pregnant, the more abortions (mass destruction) Planned Parenthood can perform and the more money they stand to gain. They are pushing sex for money. I thought that was illegal in most places. But Planned Parenthood's method is very stategically marketed so that it might be hard to follow the trail. This tactic isn't new to their repertoire either.
Back in July 17, 2004, World Net Daily did an article about Planned Parenthood's distribution of what critics deemed as pornography. Planned Parenthood had said, " We hope this education will encourage better communication between teens and their parents." Seems like they've abandoned that idea and just wanted to exclude parents altogether at the U.N. meeting. Once again they are pushing distribution of moral degradation. How far will they go?
LiveAction.org reporter, David Schmidt, March 8 2010 showed that back in 1952 Planned Parenthood was pushing for contraceptives. That was the progressive thing at the time. Some conservatives were concerned that it was abortion. But Planned Parenthood in their own words said in their pamphlet below:
I
In their brochure this year, Planned Parenthood claimed, "Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse... But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. There is no right or wrong way to have sex." Oh my goodness. It seems that Planned Parenthood is more like a planned free for all sex organization--no parenthood involved. Parenthood isn't even discussed as an option.
Now Planned Parenthood really can't take all the blame at the United Nations because the Girl Scouts invited them says C-Fam. C-Fam article written by Terrence Mckeegan,J.D. gives more details. She cites from the New York Times that UN Population Fund had co-sponsored a very controversial curriculum with UNESCO, that included teaching children as young as five to be sexually active and training adolescents to advocate for abortion. Why isn't someone doing something about child molestation against these people? If we did this to our children in our own homes we'd be prosecuted.
Now we have a collaborative on the destruction of our young girls. The YMCA has joined with The Girl Scouts to co-moderate an event on "universal access" and "reproductive health." But there is nothing being reproduced except the lack of respect for a female (or male's) body. To advocate abortion is not "reproductive." This United Nations Conference on The Status of Women, I thought, was to empower and elevate the status of women. This only reduces them to sex toys. Advanced sex methods haven't advanced women in the past and I don't foresee it advancing them in the future.
Woman Has Recurring Dream of a Baby Struggling in the Womb Then Learns She Was Aborted!
March 5, 2010
Juda Myers
Carrie Holland just so happens to be a friend of mine. Her mother and I were in the same Sunday school class but I had no idea of her and her daughter's incredible story.Carrie says when she was a child she had recurring dreams of a baby crying and struggling in the womb. Her mother finally told Carrie(as a teen)that she had an abortion but Carrie lived. This truly is a story from a very different angle in that she remembered in her dreams that fierce fight for her life.
Carrie is such a joy to be around. Her face looks different from the paralysis but she is as normal as any other human. She forgave her mother many years ago and proves that God can change hearts if we let Him. Her father called her at 27 years and she heard his voice for the first time. He wanted to make things right. He had left her mother because he was married and wanted nothing to do with the pregnancies. She had felt God had abandoned her and for many years was angry with Him.
Please watch the two videos. You'll be encouraged, moved deeply and made to know God still has a plan for each of us!
Babies do feel pain and know to fight for their lives. Please tell others who are considering an abortion to watch these videos.
Child Execution Reversed
By Juda Myers
March 4, 2010
Claire was sentenced to death in Las Vegas, Nevada. The saying goes, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” But this has to be told. It’s impossible to believe that any judge would rule in favor of the death penalty under any circumstance. But Jamie Stout, acting judge for the case, felt there was no other choice. A mock trial without a jury and without proper defense ended in the harshest verdict possible, determining that the child’s crime against her mother was punishable by death. Claire’s mother was torn. She knew what society thought and didn’t have the strength to fight.
The execution was scheduled for November 9, 2010. Preparations were started and the clock was ticking to Claire’s final breath. The play by play report appeared on Facebook with desperate pleas for prayer of a reversal. A miracle was needed. The evidence in Claire’s favor was overwhelming but only the judge could reverse the order. Even then doctors would have to fight to save Claire’s life.
Testimonies, with overwhelming evidence that could not be ignored, came moments after the procedure had begun. But would it be too late?
Claire began her life like any other child - created in the image of God. Conceived out of wedlock, her mother faced a very tough life. Drugs and another unplanned pregnancy 11 years earlier led to thoughts of hopelessness. Claire’s sister was being raised by her grandparents. Claire would be just another burden or so her mother thought.
On the day of the execution people were insensitive to Claire’s mother telling her it would all be over soon. No compassion for her or her child.
Jamie Stout was not only the judge in this case but she was also Claire’s mother. Feeling alone without real choices Jamie had ruled without a hearing against her innocent child. However, hope remained in Jamie’s friend Marina until literally the last moment.
Just outside the abortion clinic Jamie’s father waited helplessly for his daughter. He didn’t want Claire to die but he thought he had no say. This was a woman’s choice right? But Marina knew that wasn’t true. So many lives were at stake here.
Marina was waiting outside the clinic for her dear friend. She pleaded with Jamie to just listen. Marina was desperate to save that baby but also to save Jamie too. Marina works at First Choice Pregnancy Services in Las Vegas and has seen the joy in mothers who made the right choice. She has also seen the despair and trauma in women who did not.
With Jamie laying inside the car writhing in pain she listened to Marina as best she could. Marina asked Jamie if she wanted the baby. “It’s too late Marina,” Jamie cried. “It may not be,” Marina quickly replied. Marina asked again, “Do you want your baby? If you do you’ve got to decide now!” Both Jamie and her father wanted that second chance. The clock was ticking and there were no guarantees but the execution order had been reversed and they rushed to the emergency room.
Pam Caylor, director of First Choice played a vital part in saving Claire. She knew that laminaria could be removed from the cervix. Laminaria is a match stick like seaweed product used to dilate the cervix. Moisture causes them to expand forcing the cervix to open making it possible to remove the baby in a day or two. Jamie experienced intense pain during this process.
Marina had asked Mrs. Caylor for advice about Jamie. If the baby had not been killed first by an injection into its heart, there would be a chance of saving her. Pam called doctors trying to find one that would remove the laminaria but found rejection over and over. Finally a doctor agreed. The hospital was slow and reluctant to take the situation seriously but the doctor attended to Jamie. He came out of the room very discouraged saying he couldn’t remove the laminaria. He had never done this before. Mrs. Caylor stood firm, looked at the doctor, told him that he certainly could remove them and to get back in there and try again. So he did. Using more force he successfully removed thirteen laminaria. Jamie had been told there were only three. The abortion doctor had placed more laminaria to speed the normal three day process up to two days without Jan’s knowledge.
It wasn’t over. Since Jamie’s cervix had already dilated a great deal it was a danger to Claire’s survival. The doctor had no confidence that Claire would survive. The prayers went out again along with appreciation for all that was done so far.
Claire’s life hung on a miracle for forty-eight hours. That was the time doctors watched to see if the cervix would close on its own. With Jamie lying in bed, her father and friends by her side, the report was given. A miracle had happened and the cervix had closed up without stitches, without any problems. Claire was given another chance at life.
Prayers were answered. Sonograms showed a healthy active little girl dancing inside her ‘now safe’ womb.
I had the overwhelming pleasure of seeing Claire for myself, while her mom and big sister swelled with emotion. The room was filled with a joy I find hard to describe. Life filled the room.
Jamie has since turned her life around. She has given her life to Jesus Christ. She knows the peace that passes all understanding and has a hope for the future like never before. Jamie has no regrets.
Jamie went into labor on Marina’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. It was as if Claire wanted to show gratitude to Marina for intervening and saving her life.
Jamie said, “For the first time my head is so clear and I know I have a purpose.”
These lives are just a few that are changed forever because of the dedication of people like Marina and Pam Caylor.
My life also was saved because of people with conviction that all life deserves a lifetime. Pregnant from an 8 man rape my mother chose life for me. She, like Jamie, has no regrets and I am forever grateful.
Won’t you consider standing for or speaking out for the unborn? People like Jamie, Claire and I will thank you for life.
We shouldn’t have exceptions in the right to life.
Georgia Committee Passes Pro-Life Bill Targeting Racist and Sexist Abortions Atlanta, GA (LifeNews.com) -- A Georgia state House committee approved a bill on Wednesday that would ban abortions done specifically because the child is African-American. HB 1155 would also make it a crime to attempt to coerce a woman to have an abortion based on the race or sex of the unborn child.
It would also prevent abortion practitioners from knowingly doing race-based or gender-based abortions.
On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee passed the bill out of committee on a 7-6 vote.
After a number of attempts to amend the legislation failed, the committee was asked to vote on a “motion to table” the bill. The committee was evenly split on the vote enabling Chairman Rich Golick to vote in our favor and thereby defeating the motion.
"Hundreds of hours have been put into the crafting of this legislation, using some of the top pro-life attorneys around the country and within the state," Mike Griffin, the legislative director of Georgia Right to Life, told LifeNews.com.
"There is no doubt that this bill will protect women from coercion, from gender selection and race based abortions, while ensuring that it mirrors other non-discrimination laws in this state," he said. Full story at LifeNews.com

Parents kill baby girls in lake Petals in the Dust: India's Missing Girls
Nearly 50 million girls and women are missing from India's population. On March 6, there will be a protest in San Francisco called The Walk For India's Missing Girlsconcerning female infanticide and foeticide in India. Fifty million girls have been eliminated from India's population. 10 million have been killed by their own parents before or shortly after birth over the past 20 years, resulting ina n imbalance in the gender ratio. This has led to an increase in trafficking, sexual abuse adn violence against women. In some regions the ratio is as low as 550 girls per 1000 boys.
Nyna Pais Caputi, Bay Area resident and filmmaker, was moved to action. Upon visiting and orphanage she was shown a lake that parents use to drown baby girls. In her new film Petals in the Dust: India's Missing Girls Caputi hopes to spur the international and Indian communities into ending this genocide. www.petalsinthedust.com
Doctor tells Pam Tebow she it isn't a baby;its just a mass of fetal tissue- a tumor.
A doctor told Pam Tebow that she didn't have a baby inside her but instead only a tumor, a mass of fetal tissue and needed to abort if she were to save her own life. Now with all the education a doctor must have to become a doctor, one must deliberately go against all evidence to state something like that. But the Tebow's decision was made back in 1986 after praying for this child before he was conceived. So when the doctor told Pam to abort this "tumor", Pam and her husband, Bob, knew the truth. Tim Tebow was an answer to prayer literally. As a missionary in the Philippines, Bob during his prayer his heart was breaking over the millions of babies that never got a chance to live and said to God," If you want another preacher in this world you give me Timmy." This was before Pam became pregnant. So they knew it was God when she did become pregnant.
Timmy (Tim Tebow) was a miracle baby in many ways. Pam, didn't have very good medical care where they lived. After she was told to abort she didn't ahve medical care til the end of her pregnancy. She had even taken medicine for an amoeba and read that it could produce severe birth defects. She never changed her mind about giving birth to this child. During Tim's delivery, Pam delivered a large mass of blood showing that the placenta had not properly attached. Tim was healthy and defied medical knowledge. God can do anything whether people agree with him or not.
There is a great video at www.focusonthefamily.com God is being lifted up and those who hate Him are fearful that He may get all the credit for life!
God is the author of life. No man can take that credit. If you have a "hard case" pregnancy please trust God with your life and that of your child.
National Organization for Women(NOW) President, Terry O'Neil said she had respect for the private choices made by women such as Pam Tebow but condemned the planned ad as "extraordinarily offensive and demeaning.” This is what she saying about the Super Bowl ad even before she saw it. How is it that saving a life is "extraordinarily offensive and demeaning?" Who has the right to deny someone expressing the joy of choosing life- someone that is death minded. She really doesn't want women to choose life. If this were an ad about death choices she would have remained silent. Since she is "for women" why is she not fighting against the demeaning commericals that portray women as throw away sex toys? She has an agenda of death.
Too many women are living in "extraordinarily offensive and demeaning.” pain from the abortions they have had.
Does make any sense to anyone? Does she feel the same towards doctors who save lives or firemen or any other life saving group? One person is a hero and another condemns them? Is she so worried and angry that there will be a drop in abortions pushed on women by "well meaning" people? Why not give women TRUE choice? Too many questions only one answer: DECEIPT for the purpose of destroying life. .
Terry's idea of respect must mean that everyone has to agree with her! She went on: “That's not being respectful of other people's lives," O'Neill said. "It is offensive to hold one way out as being a superior way over everybody else's."
I never thought the true colors of the abortion industry would come out so vehemently. If women can't see the horror behind this fading mask we are really in deep trouble. When killing innocent babies is celebrated as a right of choice where will it stop. We already have euthanasia is parts of the world.
Remember Terry Schivo? Her loving parents desperately wanted her but a judge gave her over to a man who didn't love her and was with another woman. How is that possible? She wasn't even brain dead but very much alive. Because of convenience and hatred a woman was left tortured to death. Is that the choice we want for ourselves? I think not.
Views change when we are personally affected. A woman named Irene from The Netherlands was raped and had an abortion only to find out later that she was conceived in rape but her mother chose life. Now she speaks out for the child and will be giving her testimony at the UN in March in NYC.
Sometimes it has to hit us personally.
juda myers 2010 Praying for eyes to see and hearts to accept truth.
Houston Pro Life March a Success,10,000 Strong January 18, 2010
People like Rhonda Arias of Texas Abortion Recovery Alliance have been praying and fighting against the injustices of abortion for over twenty years and when Lou Engle of The Call and Doug Stringer, Somebody Cares heard from God things started to move and quickly.Within three weeks this event came together. I was called Sunday morning to give a one minute testimony. Men and women united to repent for the sin of abortion in our land, then lifted up prayer for the end of abortion, 10,000 strong. On January 17 the cry was loud and long for God to change the hearts of this nation, for this city. To have the largest abortion facility in our midst is certainly a sign that we need to be on our face before God not just on these two days but everyday.
Sunday night, January 17, at Grace Community Church in Houston was filled with people who repented of many sins and when they marched on the streets at the abortion facility they were noticed. People gave testimony after testimony such as adoption stories and women who had been rescued from abortion. One woman Gail Mc Williams told her amazing story. Pregnancy made her eyes hemorrhage. When her doctor told her she'd have to choose between the baby she carried or her eyesight she chose her child without hesistation. Her doctor said. "You've made a foolish choice" and slammed his folder shut. She has never regretted saving her child. Today she is blind but says vision is more than seeing. There are many stories of right decisions and the hope of this city of pro lifers is to see all women free from the guilt and trauma of abortion.

Virginia Mother Kills Newborn/ Umbilical Cord still attached
No CRIME? Because of a technicality of the law a mother can kill her baby while the umbilical cord is still attached and not be charged with murder. Judges seem to break the law for other unreasonable crimes why not punish the women for deliberately killing her child?

VIRGINIAMOTHERWHOALLEGEDLYMURDEREDHERNEWBORNBABYWITHIMPUNITYHIGHLIGHTSNEEDFORNEVADAPERSONHOODAMENDMENTPersonhood Nevada is appalled and deeply grieved at the news reported from Virginia, in which a mother allegedly murdered her own newborn baby and will not be charged with a crime. Situations such as this, in which children are denied their very right to live, highlight the need for the Nevada Personhood Amendment. The proposed Amendment reads, simply,In the great state of Nevada, the term ‘person’ applies to every human being. Olaf Vancura, PhD, President of Personhood Nevada, stated, “If this Amendment had been in place in Virginia, the woman would be in jail right now. No one has the right to kill another human being at any stage of biological development. The right to live is a God-given, fundamental civil right.”Ken Wilson, Personhood Nevada board member stated, “As the father of 3 young children, I am utterly and completely shocked at this horrific and detestably evil crime. How a mother can kill her own child is something I will never be able to understand, no matter how much praise Planned Parenthood lavishes on mothers who do it every day. Our society has now come full circle, from condemning those who kill children, to actually lifting up such people as champions of women’s rights. We now live in a time when even our laws protect the killing and the killers of our own children. It is beyond tragic. It is the death of our culture.”Personhood Nevada spokesperson Candy Best added, “The news of this travesty sickens me to the very core of my being! To think that a dehumanizing technicality, such as an intentionally uncut umbilical cord connecting mother and child, could legally render Virginia law enforcement impotent to arrest and prosecute a mother for murder is frightening and beyond belief. To twist and pervert what God had provided to serve as the cord of life into a legal justification to violently take a child’s life, is at least a serious miscarriage of justice and at most the cruelest kind of murder of innocence. This precious child who was killed by his or her own mother has as much right to live as any other human being – as much as any other person. This act was diabolically criminal. It is surreal to imagine a law that protects both the act of murder and the murderer. Why did Virginia legislators not act when police requested them to earlier? This is what happens when “choice” is taken to its logical extreme. It is our solemn duty to ensure and protect every person’s God-given right to live, even if they live in another state.”Personhood Nevada stands for the right of all Nevadans to be protected by love and by law.www.personhoodnevada.com Contact: Olaf Vancura 702 / 556-1134 olaf@personhoodnevada.com
A legal firebrand whose work fighting corruption left both Bill Clinton and Dick Cheney on the defensive today took on Barack Obama, suing the president for secret meetings with Planned Parenthood and other lobbyists on his plans to nationalize health care.
Larry Klayman
Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and, more recently, Freedom Watch USA, filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The law requires disclosure of records of meetings between the executive branch and outside industry lobbyists. It also requires access to meetings. Klayman raised the same issues during the early years of the Clinton administration, contributing to the demise of the health care proposal championed by Hillary Clinton. The lawsuit charges that in Obama's "haste to socialize medicine in the United States, and increase government control generally," he has "violated his commitment to transparency." Korean Doctor No Longer Performing Abortions Though they're technically illegal, abortions are prevalent and rarely discussed in the political sphere. One doctor has become the face of a movement to change that. Dr. Shim Sang-duk is an obstetrician who changed his mind about performing abortions. (Jean Chung / For The Times / November 20, 2009) By John M. Glionna November 29, 2009
Reporting from Seoul - For nearly two decades, obstetrician Shim Sang-duk aborted as many babies as he delivered -- on average, one a day, month after month.
"Over time, I became emotionless," the physician said. "I came to see the results of my work as just a chunk of blood. During the operation, I felt the same as though I was treating scars or curing diseases."
Shim, 42, eventually came to despise himself, despite the money he earned from the procedures. So, two months ago, he founded an activist group of physicians who refuse to perform abortions and advocate prosecution for doctors who continue to do so.
The group's stand has brought a tidal wave of criticism from the Korean Assn. of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which represents more than 4,000 physicians in this country where abortions, although technically illegal, are so prevalent it has been tagged as "the Abortion Republic."
Unlike in America, where doctors have been threatened and even killed for performing abortions, Shim says he's received death threats for deciding to stop performing them.
The controversy illustrates the stark differences between South Korea's attitude toward abortion and that of many Western nations. While often couched elsewhere as a battle between religious activists and those defending a woman's right to choose, the issue here carries no such emotional freight.
"Western societies see abortion as one of benchmark battles between conservatives and liberals -- while here there has not been even any academic discussion," said Lee Na-young, a sociology professor at Seoul's Chung-Ang University.

Woman's Lawsuit: She Yelled Stop, Practitioner Continued With Forced Abortion by Steven Ertelt LifeNews.com Editor
November 18, 2009
Alberto Hodari owns six abortion centers in Michigan and LifeNews.com has delivered multiple reports on how he has three of them up for sale. A new lawsuit from a woman who says he forced her to have an abortion could explain why Hodari is quickly moving to divest himself of his abortion business.
Hodari, who has killed at least two women in botched abortions, put a for sale sign on his Flint, Michigan center last week and also on his facilities in Livonia and Southgate.
Local pro-life advocate Judy Climer of Flint Right to Life told LifeNews.com that there is a "a fresh lawsuit against him, the clinic and former employee(s)," filed by Caitlin Bruce.
Climer noted Bruce says Hodari forced her to have an abortion after she declined.
Today, Operation Rescue president Troy Newman provided LifeNews.com with more details of the lawsuit based on the records filed in court.
Bruce filed a suit against Hodari and his assistant, "Victor" on June 17 over an incident that took place at Hodari's Flint abortion center in April 2008.
Bruce alleges that she went to Hodari's clinic seeking an abortion, but, before the abortion began, she changed her mind, decided against it and told Hodari. However, Hodari and his assistant forcibly restrained Bruce and held her down, according to her suit.
Bruce screamed "Stop, stop, I don't want this," but her mouth was covered to muffle her pleas while Hodari forced her to have the abortion.
The lawsuit notes six counts against Hodari including lack of informed consent/medical malpractice, battery, fraud, misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and ethnic/gender intimidation.
Also, Bruce believes that Hodari forced the abortion on her because she is black, even though Michigan law forbids intimidation based on gender or ethnicity.
"This man should be in jail," Newman said. "To avoid having to pay for his crimes, it looks like Hodari is trying to liquidate his assets, take the money, and run."
Newman also notes that this is not the first time Hodari has been accused of forcing a woman to have an abortion.
In February, former Hodari patient Jennifer McCoy told Operation Rescue of her 1988 abortion at age 16.
McCoy never intended to get an abortion and was lured to Hodari's clinic under the false pretenses that she would be receiving her first obstetrical examination. Instead, Hodari forced an abortion on her, she told the pro-life group. He then returned her to her 40-year old high school teacher who had fathered the baby in a relationship that qualified as statutory rape.
McCoy attempted unsuccessfully to have Hodari criminally charged.
Newman added: "Over a twenty year period, we can only imagine how many times Hodari has done this to women. If we know of two, you can bet there were more that we don't know about. It is one depraved man that could do that to women."
Hodari has also killed women in failed abortions and, in June, Hodari was fined $10,000 by a state board in connection with a woman's botched abortion death.
One of Hodari's staff did an abortion on Regina Johnson who, afterwards, suffered respiratory and cardiac arrest.
Staff at Hodari's abortion center allegedly failed to help her or call for an ambulance and she was deprived of oxygen for an extended time. She died a short time later at Hodari's Womencare clinic in Lathrup Village.
Johnson's death is one of several women to have died over the years under Hodari's care.
The September 17, 2003 abortion saw Milton Nathanson, then employed by Hodari, do an abortion on Johnson. She died the next day from "anoxic encephalopahy due to cardiac arrest" resulting from the abortion, according to official reports.
In addition to Hodari and Nathanson, anesthesiologist Barry Thompson and the abortion clinic's nurse, Cathy Litchig were also implicated in Johnson's death.
The Michigan Attorney General imposed the fine on Hodari on March 4, 2009.
This finding of the Attorney General's office comes just one year after members of Citizens for a Pro-life Society discovered the remains of aborted babies in Womencare clinic trash dumpsters as well as bio-hazard waste and hundreds of patient records.
Hodari was investigated by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and received a warning from that office.
He was also prosecuted by the Oakland County District Attorney's Office for violating Michigan statutes regarding the improper disposition of patient records. Hodari pled “no contest “ to the first of 12 counts and is currently on probation in that case. More
From ABC News, November 5, one more problem for pro-aborts claiming preborns aren't human:
Think newborns just eat, sleep and wail the same way across the world? That's not so, according to a new study which found that babies cry with an accent within the first week of life.
By recording cries of 60 babies born to French or German parents, researchers discovered that babies cry with the same "prosody" or melody used in their native language by the 2nd day of life.
French newborns in the study ended their cries with a lilt at the end typically heard in French.
German babies, however, started their cries intensely and dropped off at the end - much like the emphasis their German parents put in a sentence, according to a study published Thursday in Current Biology.
Experts in child development say the most exciting part of this discovery is not that infants recognize the melody of their language, but that the newborns may have the ability to use what they heard in the womb to then control their cries.
New NIH Web Site Promotes Obama's Embryonic Stem Cell Research Tax-Funding by Steven Ertelt LifeNews.com Editor
September 29, 2009
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The National Institutes of Health has set up a new web site that will further implement the decision by President Barack Obama to force taxpayers to fund embryonic stem cell research. The research has yet to help any patients, unlike the use of adult stem cells which has proven particularly useful.
In March, Obama signed an executive order forcing funding for the unproven research that requires the destruction of human life.
in July, he directed the NIH to adopt rules implementing the decision and now the agency launched a website through which scientists can request their human embryonic stem cell lines receive taxpayer funding.
Eligible lines will appear on the NIH Human Embryonic Stem Cell Registry and NIH director Dr Francis Collins has appointed a working group to assist him in deciding which lines will be approved for federal funds.
The working group reportedly will consist of experts in genetics, law, medicine and ethics and will be chaired by Dr Jeffrey Botkin, a medical ethicist at the University of Utah.
Botkin said he believes he was picked as chairman because of his extensive background in ethical treatment of subjects involved in medical research, and the lack of potential conflicts of interest.
Botkin said he can't predict how many requests the board will review, but he thinks there will be a plethora of requests for taxpayer funding.
"So many are very anxious to move ahead," he said.
"Stem cells show a lot of promise in medical care because they have the unique capacity to become any tissue type in the human body," Botkin told the Deseret News. "For example, if stem cells can be coaxed into developing into pancreas cells, it may be possible to use them to treat diabetes."
However, the use of adult stem cells has already helped diabetes patients.
Research from April found using adult stem cells is showing further insulin independence for Type 1 diabetes patients.
The study, led by Richard Burt of Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, is the second in the last two years to show significant progress in diabetes using the noncontroversial stem cells.
It showed patients receiving injections with adult stem cells were able to go as long as four years without having to rely on insulin shots.
In a new paper published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Burt and his colleagues show how the majority of patients with type 1, or juvenile, diabetes who underwent a certain type of stem cell transplantation became insulin free.
Obama Administration Announces $50 Million for Pro-Forced Abortion UNFPA Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The check may have already been in the mail, but the Obama administration announced Tuesday that it is sending $50 million to the UNFPA. That's the UN population agency that has been criticized for promoting abortion and working closely with Chinese population control officials. In China, the enforcement of the coercive one-child rule has resulted in forced abortions, involuntary sterilizations and other human rights abuses. Research from the United States and British governments, along a first-hand report from the group Population Research International, has shown UNFPA officials working side-by-side their Chinese colleagues and going as far as sharing the same offices. But that hasn't stopped the Obama administration from sending the $50 million Congress authorized to the UNFPA. "The Department of State will contribute $50 million to UNFPA in 2009, as provided in the Omnibus Appropriations Act," spokesman Robert Wood said in a press statement. "This decision highlights the Administration’s strong commitment to international family planning, women’s health, and global development." Wood praised the UNFPA for its family planning work, but made no mention of its pro-abortion activities or its working with Chinese population control authorities. Full story at LifeNews.com
Senate Panel Defeats Amendment to Protect Pro-Life Medical Workers on Abortion by Steven Ertelt LifeNews.com Editor
September 30, 2009
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Shortly after the Senate Finance Committee voted against an amendment to remove the massive abortion subsidies from the Baucus health care bill, they rejected a second pro-life amendment. It would have offered protection for medical workers who don't want to participate in or refer for abortions.
Sen. Orrin Hatch, a Utah Republican, offered the abortion funding limitation and Hatch also offered his conscience protection amendment, number 354, which mirrors the Hyde-Weldon appropriations language.
Hyde-Weldon is a federal law that President George W. Bush signed into law in December 2004 that protects hospitals, health insurance companies and medical professionals who don't want to pay for or perform abortions.
The Hatch nondiscrimination amendment failed by a vote of 13-10 with pro-abortion Sen. Olympia Snow, a Maine Republican, siding with Democrats on the panel to oppose the measure.
Sen. Kent Conrad, a North Dakota Democrat, joined Republicans in supporting the amendment.
Without the Hatch amendment, the Baucus bill contains no conscience protections on abortions for employees who don't want to be involved in them or refer for them.
A Senate committee has already approved the Kennedy health care bill, to which the Baucus measure is considered a possible alternative.
Americans United for Life, a prominent pro-life legal group, says the late senator added an amendment to that bill that "would ensure that no health care provider or entity is excluded from contracting with an insurance plan participating in the health care exchange on the basis that the provider or entity refuses to perform abortions if performing abortions would be contrary to the religious or moral beliefs of the individual or entity."
The Senate HELP committee adopted the amendment, but AUL says the scope of it is limited.
"It does not cover providers who refuse to pay for or refer patients for abortion services," Americans United for Life indicates.
"In addition, the amendment provides an exception for 'cases of emergency,' which is undefined and can be stretched to fit almost any situation, effectively stripping providers of any protection the amendment may have offered them," the group adds.
To correct the problems, pro-life Sen. Tom Coburn, an Oklahoma Republican, offered an amendment which would have made permanent the current regulations that protect pro-life medical workers.
It would have ensured health care providers are not forced to participate in abortions or discriminated against because they choose not to do abortions. The Coburn amendment was defeated with only one Democrat joining Republicans to support it.
On the House side, three pro-life members of Congress, Reps. Joe Pitts of Pennsylvania, Bart Stupak of Michigan, and Lee Terry of Nebraska, two Republicans and a Democrat, drafted a conscience clause which the Energy and Commerce Committee passed by voice vote.
AUL says the amendment "prohibit[s] discrimination against physicians, other health care professionals, hospitals, provider-sponsored organizations, health maintenance organization, and health insurance plans for refusing to provide, refer for, pay for or provide coverage for abortion."
During his health care speech last month, President Barack Obama told the nation he wants to ensure conscience protections for pro-life medical workers are in place in the health care bills in Congress.
Obama's comments are contradictory in one way -- his administration has already started the process of overturning new regulations President Bush put in place to better enforce conscience rights.
If Obama is true to his pledge, he and his administration will lobby the Senate to adopt conscience amendments when the bill hits the Senate floor or ask House and Senate leaders to keep the protections when the two chambers' bills are merged.
Animal-human clones don't work, U.S. company finds
Looks like once again the evolutionary connection fails. If we were evolved from the same cell it would make sense that all cells would work together. However as a team of researchers have found,
"We got beautiful little hybrid embryos, but it didn't work no matter how hard we tried."

Lanza's team used a new method called global gene expression analysis to see which genes were turned on and off as the eggs grew."We never had the tools before to actually look inside the cell and see what's going on," Lanza said. It appears that using the egg of another species turns off the genes needed to make an embryo instead of turning them on, he said. But the human-human clone did turn on the right genes, although it, too stopped dividing before it could produce stem cells, Lanza said.
Baby's Life Saved through Faces of Abortion Call
The Justice Foundation
Declaration Count 4,400+
July 17, 2009
There's somebody I want you to meet.
His name is Jack.
In our fight for Life and Justice, we celebrate every life saved by ringing a bell in our office. Recently we rang the bell upon hearing of another baby's life saved -- and this one came with pictures for us to enjoy!
Jack's mother was considering abortion until she saw our Faces of Abortion TV show -- available in thirty million U.S. homes through Sky Angel and Dish Network. After seeing and hearing the powerful testimonies of women harmed by abortion, Jack's birth mom called the National Helpline for Abortion Recovery, operated by Millie Lace and Concepts of Truth.
The female counselor on the Helpline had experienced abortion herself and encouraged Jack's birth mother to consider adoption, referring her to the nearest pregnancy center, which was Millie Lace's own center in Wynne, Arkansas! There the loving choice of adoption was explained fully.
At the same time, a prospective adoptive family had adopted five years before and their little girl was praying for "a brother of her own color."
Jack and his sister - she loves her new brother!
The birth mom met the family through the help of Concepts of Truth and their attorney arranged the adoption. When it was time for Jack's birth, Concepts of Truth staff were present to encourage the mother at the hospital, and the adoptive parents also came, excited about their new son.
The Adoptive Family with Baby Jack
The birth mother chose Life and Baby Jack now has a loving home in part because of your support of The Justice Foundation and the television program Faces of Abortion. The show triggers women in unplanned pregnancies to call for help after hearing of the pain caused by abortion, and we regularly hear stories similar to Jack's.
Concepts of Truth's National Helpline for Abortion Recovery played a huge role in saving baby Jack's life. Every episode of Faces of Abortion and all of our literature refers women to the National Helpline. This is a separate and independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose work we have periodically supported with contributions of our own. They need your help, too, and we ask you to please prayerfully consider making a donation to them at this time by going to their website www.conceptsoftruth.org.
I wanted to share these pictures with you, so that you can also rejoice for what the Lord is accomplishing through you and The Justice Foundation. We thank you for your support and we urge you to continue to support prolife work, because every life saved is precious.

President, The Justice Foundation
P.S. Please keep baby Jack and his new family in your prayers! Operation Outcry is a ministry of The Justice Foundation that seeks to end legalized abortion through the gathering of legally admissible testimonies of women and men harmed by abortion. The Justice Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law, less the value of goods or services received.
